Donate
Donating is optional and changes nothing about what you get. Someone who cannot donate uses exactly the same service, at the same speed and with the same nodes.
What it pays for
Servers. The main cost: the machines running the nodes, their bandwidth and their traffic. Today that means several providers across different countries.
Domain and certificates. The vpnpro89.com registration and the TLS certificates.
Nothing else. There are no salaries, no office and no paid advertising. One person maintains it in their own time.
What your donation does NOT buy
It does not buy speed. There is no priority queue and no limit that lifts when you donate.
It does not buy features. There is no paid tier with extras: the app is the same for everyone.
It does not buy priority support. Emails are read in the order they arrive.
If any of this were to change, it would be said here before changing it.
How to donate
The only active method right now is PayPal, via the button below. It opens directly on their site: there is no intermediary and we store no payment details.
There is no subscription and no recurring charge. It is a one-off payment, whenever you want and for whatever amount you decide.
If you would prefer another method, write to support@vpnpro89.com and we will look into it.
Where we are, in numbers
The project is growing, and we would rather show it with figures than with adjectives. As of 9 September 2026: 20 nodes across 11 countries —ten of our own infrastructure and ten community-run, each one labelled in the app—, six desktop releases published with checkable hashes, the Android app on Google Play, and seventeen tools so an AI assistant can use the tunnel.
And it is still free. It has been since day one, and it is not a promotion or a phase: it is a tribute. The why is in about us.
This year's goal is simple: that donations cover the servers. Today they do not, and the difference comes out of the pocket of whoever maintains this. It is not a complaint —the model was chosen knowingly— it is the figure that explains why this page exists.
Transparency
We do not publish audited accounts: presenting them as a guarantee would be dishonest when no third party verifies them. What we do publish is the transparency report, covering what data is kept, for how long, and which requests have been received.
What we do commit to, because it can be kept without an auditor: publishing a periodic summary of what comes in as donations and what goes out on servers. Books kept by one person, described as exactly that. Promising less and keeping it is worth more than promising “total transparency” and nobody ever checking.
Every technical claim on this site can point to a file, a test or a command that proves it: the hash of each download, the catalogue signature, the open code. The same rule applies to the money.
If the project were to stop being maintained, it would be announced here and on the Google Play listing before anything is switched off.
Opens on PayPal. No intermediary, and we store no payment details.
